August 13, 2014- The Assiniboine Park Conservancy (APC) is hosting the inaugural Wildest Dreams event at the Assiniboine Park Zoo on August 27th. The event is a behind-the-scenes look at the new Assiniboine Park Zoo and will provide a once-in-a-lifetime zoo experience for children facing health or socio-economic challenges.

Marymound is very pleased to partner once again with APC by receiving 50 complimentary invitations to the event. Also partnering with the Conservatory are CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, The Salvation Army, St. Amant Foundation, and the Dream Factory.

From 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p m. children will be treated to an evening full of special events and activities that will create memories beyond an everyday zoo visit. The fun will include:

  • Discovering the magic of the north through the Journey to Churchill, with the new polar bear and northern species exhibit.
  • Getting up close and personal with a few zoo animals and meeting their keepers.
  • A photo taken with Winston the polar bear, the new zoo mascot.
  • Exploring the polar playground-a super cool indoor play space!

Complimentary kid-friendly meals of hotdogs, hamburgers and ice cream along with beverages are also included in the special event.

Thanks to the Assiniboine Park Conservancy, Marymound youth can make their Wildest Dreams come true!
