October  2020- Received generous donation of $50,000 from Kinsmen Club of Winnipeg. Donations pass $3 million mark

September, 2020- Meticulous brick work begins on exterior of  building from specific funding from the City and Province departments.

December, 2019-  Marymound receives $1 million from two donors. With revitalized interest from the community our goal of $5 million is becoming more reachable

October, 2019– Received generous donation commitment from the Johnston Group

October 17, 2017 – Structural wall exploratory takes place with temporary removal of sections of bricks. All original bricks will be removed during renovations and reinserted due to heritage status of building.

August 15, 2017 –  Campaign totals make a slight gain to $1.6 million thanks to a cluster of generous donors

March 13, 2017 – Campaign totals now over $1.5 million getting closer to $5 million goal to renovate and repurpose the home.

March  10, 2017 – Generous donation of $12,000 by the Speltzer Family Foundation.

January 17, 2017- Building foundation deemed satisfactory with little work required before commencing building.

December 12, 2016- Initial construction of foundation testing through inside floors began today.

December 6, 2016- A recent major gift of $200,000 by the Richardson Foundation followed by $10,000 by Parkside Ford in addition to other donations have helped us reach the $1.5 million mark.

September 20, 2016- Another donor wishing to remain anonymous has donated $60,000 to help us build our transition home for vulnerable teenage girls.

May 25, 2016-  In the spirit of true philanthropy a donor wishing to remain anonymous has donated $135,000 to our capital campaign.

April 14, 2016 – Great attendance from the community as numerous compassionate and dedicated volunteers came to Marymound’s Capital Campaign Circle meeting.  Community members where enthralled by a beautiful presentation about Marymound and the campaign which received great feedback and created enthusiastic discussion afterwards. Next Meeting May 11th.

February 3, 2016 – We recently received a generous donation of $50,000 from Investors group! All major gifts from fall 2015 to September 2016:

January 26, 2016– The philanthropic necklace designed by one of our very talented youth through Hilary Druxman Design has raised over $600 for our capital campaign.  This special keepsake cost only $40 (tax included) and can be picked up at Marymound (442 Scotia Street).
