Volunteers play an important role at Marymound, whether volunteering directly with young people or spending time in an administrative position. When the young people receiving services at Marymound see community members volunteering their time, it illustrates they are valued and that people in the community care about them.
Marymound is an agency with a long tradition of quality therapeutic and education services. As part of the Marymound team, volunteers experience the rewards, as well as the challenges involved in assisting young people who have experienced a range of difficulties.
Many Ways to Help
There are many ways to volunteer and make a difference at Marymound. You can become a mentor for a young person in care. Spend a few hours each week watching a movie, playing cards, doing a puzzle or craft, or just chatting.
Or, you may prefer to help out with office tasks or special events. For example, we often have print material to be put together, gift bags to fill, or we need cheerful volunteers to help sell raffle tickets.
Whatever your interests or schedule, we can find a rewarding role for you.
