Marymound is pleased to showcase the many special talents of its young people. From painting to poetry, they show a real affinity and ability for the creative.

Creative pursuits often provide a therapeutic outlet for young people – and sometimes offer a window into the innermost feelings that may otherwise remain closed.

Creative arts programming, traditional crafts done in our Aboriginal Cultural Program, and seasonal arts and crafts in our Spiritual Care Program give Marymound young people plenty of opportunities to express themselves through art.

LIFE/
WHAT MARYMOUND MEANS TO ME…

Life is good and sometimes bad.
Some people are happy and good.
Some people are mad and sad.
For me, I got two choices to make.
I could choose the good path or the bad path.
Right now I am going towards the bad path but in my head I don’t want to.

I am trying to go to the good path but it is hard.
I feel like Marymound is helping me to learn how to make good choices
to help me get my life on to the good path.

After I leave Marymound, I hope that I can take all the good stuff they gave me to help keep me on the good path.

Thank you to everyone at Marymound for helping me help myself.

WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE!

There’s things that need to be done before I get to go home,
And now I know that I’m here
I’ll never be alone.
I have some problems but I know I’ll get them worked out,
I’m glad that I’m here in a way
and I pretty much
Enjoyed my stay.
I’m happy I got the friends that I have now
When I first moved up I thought that no one cared
but I know that they do now.
