Marymound in the Community

Marymound School students learn responsibility, a good work ethic and about the importance of contributing to their community through various initiatives. Here are just some of the activities in which the students are involved:

  • Development of a community garden in partnership with Seven Oaks Seniors Link, Home Depot and the West Kildonan Horticultural Society,
  • Community snow removal for seniors
  • Maintenance of the Hearts in Motion trail in partnership with the 
Neighbourhood Resource Network.
  • Partnership with FortWhyte Alive Farms.
  • Regular volunteer work at Siloam Mission.
  • Marymound drum group, the Strong Singing Turtle Women are much in demand to perform at various community events.
