Teddy Bears make Christmas More Fun!

It’s not every day that 35 large teddy bears arrive on your doorstep, but that’s exactly what happened on December 17 at Marymound!teddy-bears2

Joe Daniel and family of Control-Lec stopped by with their annual donation of stuffed animals for the young people at Marymound, bringing with them plenty of holiday cheer. It’s been close to 20 years that Joe and family have been providing these cute and cuddly toys and the joy they have brought is immeasurable.

Thank you to Joe, his family and Control-Lec for thinking of Marymound youth at a difficult time.

Remember the Kids this Time of Year!

Santa had a gift for every Marymound youngster at the 2008 Christmas Party.

The Christmas season can be a difficult time for many young people at Marymound. The scenes of family togetherness and decorated homes full of festive fun, gifts and food do not reflect the reality for many young people living in care.

At Marymound, we do all that we can to make this time of year special and enjoyable for our residents and students. Decorations are put up and we hold a special chapel service, feast and Christmas Party, complete with Santa and gifts. Marymound staff and school faculty engage their young charges in holiday-themed activities.

Your donations at this time are more important than ever, and will make a difference in the day-to-day lives of Marymound young people.

Please remember the children and youth of Marymound this holiday season. No gift is too small.
