Created to offer Marymound youth further valuable hands-on work experience in various capacities as well as creating awareness and raising funds for the organization. Many youth already participating in the Marymound SWEEP program participate in these initiatives.

Grillin’ 4 Good Food Cart hotdogpayment

Marymound youth are learning food handling skills and commerce as well as customer service and inventory skills. Business is solid as more people become aware of the food cart and its location through social media and menu/poster handouts to surrounding businesses. The continued development of this enterprise is aided by LITE (Local Investment Towards Employment) through a donation of $1,500 that is greatly appreciated.

While more of a social enterprise in the making, MaryMeals will soon be expanding its meals for purchase to the broader community. Marymound youth enjoy gaining experience working with Chef Amanda– a Red Seal Certified Chef in the Marymound kitchen–where healthy and yummy made-from-scratch frozen meals are available to all group homes for pick up. The current menu consists of Beef Stew, Chicken Stew, Chili, Spaghetti Sauce and Lasagna with the menu expanding in the near future.
