volunteerVolunteers play an important role at Marymound, either volunteering directly with young people or working in an administrative capacity. When young people receiving services at Marymound see community members volunteering their time, it makes them feel worthy that they are cared about by people in the community.

Marymound is an agency with a long tradition of quality therapeutic and education services. As part of the Marymound team, volunteers experience the rewards, as well as the challenges involved in assisting young people who have experienced a range of difficulties.

Many Ways to Help

You can become a mentor for a young person in care. Spend a few hours each week watching a movie, playing cards, doing a puzzle or craft, or just chatting.

Or, you may prefer to help out with office tasks or special events. Marymound has newsletters and many other outgoing mailings every year that require envelope stuffing and address labeling, or gift bags to fill and raffle tickets to sell. Whatever your interests or schedule, there is a rewarding role for you that can greatly benefit Marymound.
