October 29, 2014– Thanks to the extreme generosity of Frontiers North Adventures, seven Marymound youth accompanied by five staff experienced an exciting full day adventure filled with unforgettable memories.

Flying out of Winnipeg yesterday, and arriving early morning in Churchill, Marymounders were whisked away to enjoy the day-long Tundra Buggy Adventure. Led by a professional and knowledgeable driver, the eye-opening experience explored the trail network in the Churchill Wildlife Management Area. Marymound youth (and staff) gazed in awe at polar bears in their natural habitat as well as other incredible arctic wildlife such as arctic fox, arctic hare, ptarmigan and snowy owls.

A picnic-style lunch was served and at the end of the day’s adventure, Marymound staff and kids were transferred back to the Churchill airport for their return flight home to Winnipeg.

Marymound is hoping this becomes an annual event so other youth can share this awesome experience.
